The two companies share messages of female empowerment, and this long-form piece looks to capture that ideal of self-fulfillment in the pursuit of satisfaction.
The 25-minute short, 'Clavadista,' is written and directed by Meredith Danluck who's chased her dreams of filmmaking in a male dominated industry, just as Alvarez is pursuing her goals in the face of adversity.
Alvarez comes from a line of Acapulco Clavadistas, or cliff divers. While her father and brother perform meal-time dives for onlooking restaurant goers, she is busy waiting tables. In her free time, she's perfecting her skills – unbeknownst to her family.
