Vrigin Australia is promoting its offerings like Economy X, in-flight Wi-Fi and inclusive airfares with a new campaign.
Created by DDB Sydney, the Economy X spot shows a tall man having difficulties fitting into small spaces, but booked an Economy X seat on Virgin Australia for more comfort. The inclusive airfares spot shows a woman who is a generally indecisive person and on the flight, she chooses both coffee and tea.
Finally, the in-flight Wi-Fi spot shows a woman who needs to stay connected on her phone, being relieved that she can use Wi-Fi onboard the plane.
According to Virgin, it hopes the campaign can put a ‘healthy dose of cheekiness’ back into the brand voice, as well as showcase product features that flyers may not know are offered by the airline.
“We loved working with DDB and leading director Paul Middleditch to draw inspiration from the charming moments in our guests’ lives, and connect these to our easy, smile-inducing Virgin experience,” said Michael Nearhos, the marketing director
“And the best part is this is just the start of an exciting new period for our communications."
