SATS, the chief ground-handling and in-flight catering service provider at Singapore’s Changi Airport, has launched a travel app called Ready To Travel aimed at group travellers.
The app will feature a collaborative itinerary planning feature designed to solve the usual headaches that come with group trips.
SATS has worked with its creative agency Govt to promote the launch with a series of social videos called The Next Timers. The series follows a group of friends who always end up putting off their travel plans, with the app playing a role in turning their plans immediately into action.
“Though we are still in the early launch stage for Ready To Travel 2.0, we have seen good success so far with the recent brand launch and social engagement efforts. In fact, Ready To Travel just won the Best Travel App at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2019,” said Keith Loke, the head of marketing for Ready To Travel and consumer services at SATS.
“Ready To Travel aims to be the #1 digital platform to enable group travel planning, and is in line with SATS' vision to connect Asia travellers, especially the fast-growing millennial and free-independent travellers in the region. It has been a valuable partnership with GOVT where the agency team has brought positive energy, understanding of the emerging traveller market and e-commerce industry insights. We are excited for what's to come in 2020."
SATS added that it is planning to continue an aggressive push of the app in 2020, with more engagements in the pipeline, as well as a larger and multi-channel campaign is still in the process of being rolled out.
