: 'The Country Pub Project'

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
Putting small town Australia back on the map, one pub at a time.
65% of Australia’s country towns have disappeared since Federation, with bushfires, drought and depopulation tearing communities apart. Airbnb research found that 70% of Aussies want to see more of ‘the real’ Australia, yet only 14% have spent the night in a regional pub. Country pubs and country towns are finding it difficult to capture these new holidaymakers who often stop but don’t spend the night. And without new business, both pub and town are struggling to survive.
Armed with cultural insight and regional context alongside an emerging category of holidaymakers, Airbnb saw a unique opportunity. By supporting local pubs to attract new visitors, Airbnb could put the spotlight back on country towns and support regional communities, while also meeting its own business objectives.

: 'Sonic Logo'

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
With Sonos launching 30 ad-supported streaming radio channels on its app, the brand has met the occasion with a wider software refresh that saw Phillip Glass compose its first-ever audio brand.
Sonos sees Glass' sonic logo as a way for it to subtly move it messaging away from hardware, and into the audio, visual and digital spaces that it needs to be.
The sonic logo will be embedded into the whole listening experience and app - a pallette of sounds that will be the source material everywhere Sonos is heard.

: 'Call the Pink Telephone'

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
Covid-19 has been a difficult time for everyone around the world, especially in Italy. When it was first mandated that women (and men) must stay home during the highest peak of the pandemic, unfortunately this meant that not everyone was safe from domestic violence.
To help victims of domestic violence discuss these issues during the Covid-19 global pandemic, Wunderman Thompson Italy designed a social campaign for Telefono Rosa, an Italian NGO taking active measures against domestic violence. The team wanted to shed light on the sad fact that for some, home is actually not the safest place right now.
Wunderman Thompson Italy presents a different perspective on the ‘stay at home’ message, taking the opportunity to sensitize audiences to this critical issue. It developed on-air out of home advertisements and an online social media campaign and also worked with WPP partners Mindshare and Kinetic on media.

: 'The Booster Tag '

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
Working with road safety experts TAC and RACV, we have created an educational campaign to reduce parental confusion around when children should be taken out of booster seats. Current laws focus on age as the main indicator of when a child should move up into an adult restraint. However paediatric research has shown that height is a far safer measure and that children should use a booster seat until they are at least 145cm in height - this is because statistically less than 3% of children reach 145cm by the time they turn 7.
The Booster Tag is a label icon, in the shape of a smiling booster seat and is designed to sit alongside existing care instructions in any t-shirt that fits children under 145cm tall (sizes 4-11). This means that if children still fit clothing that displays the icon then they should keep their child in a booster seat. The Booster Tag is open-sourced and designed to be adopted by any brand in the country and high-profile children’s clothing manufacturers Oobi, Minti, Little Horn and Myer have already joined up as partners.

: 'Don't Skip'

Today, porn is the dominant source of sex education for young men, which skews their relationship with sex and their partners. They have a deformed view of reality and give less and less of an importance to listening, the desires of others, and the importance of foreplay.
As a leader in the conversation about intimacy, sexual wellness brand Skyn and its agency, Sid Lee Paris decided to challenge this and use porn to address the problem.
They did so by leveraging voices young people would listen to when it comes to sex advice: the pornstars themselves. Super(porn)stars Stoya and Dale Cooper participated in the campaign which was distributed on Pornhub. The porn site with the most web traffic.
Starting on 16 April, Pornhub viewers will discover a pre-roll ad featuring these 2 pornstars. 2 sensual videos of foreplay shot in 35mm by Sergi Castella (CREAM), in which Stoya and Dale address viewers directly: "You can skip an ad, but you shouldn't skip foreplay". A montage breaking the codes of the category inviting people to take their time.

: 'Conceptual Boredom'

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
M&C Saatchi has launched Conceptual Boredom, a photography project that explores our connection with our homes, our things, our food and our bored minds during the Covid-19 outbreak. The initiative aims to raise money for NHS Charities Together, in order to support the health and wellbeing of frontline NHS staff and volunteers.
Conceived and developed by M&C Saatchi creative team Camila Gurgel and Ieva Paulina, the photographic series documents the boredom of life in lockdown. The project will raise funds for NHS workers, who don’t have time to get bored, via a GoFundMe page.
In the Conceptual Boredom series of images, Gurgel and Paulina have used everyday objects to create surreal scenarios and shapes. The saturated colour and slightly vintage style give the visuals a sense of melancholy and nostalgia as well as humour. The pieces are designed to be both highly relatable and abstract at the same time.

: 'You Are Not Alone'

Agency:
Client:
Date: April 2020
Last week saw the launch of FCB Inferno’s latest work for the Home Office.  The agency was briefed to develop a national campaign to reassure those suffering from domestic abuse that they are still able to leave their home and seek refuge, and that support services remain open and available during lockdown.
The #YouAreNotAlone campaign encourages members of the general public to show their solidarity and support for those who may be suffering, by sharing a photo of a heart on their palm and asking others to do the same via their social channels or displaying the campaign message in their windows. This simple, but powerful act shows victims they are not alone, signposts them to the help they need and conveys to perpetrators that domestic abuse is unacceptable in any circumstances.
Since the campaign launched on Saturday 11 April, the campaign has reached over 1.5 million people across social media with thousands of people sharing its message, including the likes of Dua Lipa, Kate Beckinsale, Lauren Laverne, and This Morning’s own resident doctor, Dr Zoe Williams.
